Osprey has issued a recall on approximately 82,000 Poco child carriers. There is an increased fall hazard associated with this product. The company has received 4 reports of children falling through the leg openings. One minor injury of scratches to the head was reported, as well as an incident of a fractured skull. Affected models include the Poco, Poco Plus and Poco Premium child backpack carriers that were manufactured between January 2012 and December 2014.
These carriers came in 3 colors, red, gray, and blue. They have a metal frame and the inside is gray and has a padded seat. Consumers should look in the zippered compartment on the back of the unit for a black label. This label contains the production date, which is how you can tell if the unit that you purchase is affected. Look for anyone of these codes stamped on the black label

These boards can go up to 10 mph, and they provide hours of enjoyment to your children. However, in this instance, there is a chance that the back wheel can lock up, posing an increased risk of fall or injury to your child. The boards have the name the “Ripstik” printed on the top side of the board, and they are black and blue in color.
The company has amassed over 700 reports of the back tire locking up and not having any more movement. There have only been 2 instances of injuries being reported, but if your child has one of these boards, it is of the utmost importance to have them discontinue use immediately. They were sold at a variety of retail stores, nationwide, online and in brick and mortar stores between February 2016 and April 2017. The manufactured date is printed on the bottom side of the board and customers should contact the company for more information regarding this problem.
