Man Riding Electric Bicycle Is Killed In Accident In St. Petersburg Monday

Saint Petersburg - Florida Highway Patrol has announced that one person has died after being hit by a car while riding an electric bicycle in Saint Petersburg Monday evening.According to the report by FHP, the fatal accident began as a 39-year-old man riding an electric bicycle collided with an SUV at the intersection of 22nd Avenue North and 52nd Street North.
The driver of a Ford escape was heading west on 22nd Avenue North at about 6:30 P.M. as a man riding an Ancheer electric bicycle was heading south on 52nd Street North.
The SUV driver and the bicycle rider entered the intersection at the same time.
The bicyclist was taken to Bayfront Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police have not released his identity.
