One Million New Vehicle Recalls: St. Pete Check The Latest Car Recalls Here
Dodge Durango 2021-2023
Dodge is recalling Durango SUVs because of an issue with the spoiler. The spoiler was improperly installed on the roof. As a result, the spoiler may detach, causing a road hazard and potentially an accident. 139,019 vehicles are impacted by the recall.
Ford Ranger 2004-2006
These older model Ford pickup trucks are being recalled for an airbag inflator installation issue. On some vehicles, Ford installed the airbag inflators in the wrong direction. This causes the airbags to deploy incorrectly and risk injury to the driver and passenger. The recall impacts 98,550 Ford Ranger model vehicles.
Nissan Rogue 2014-2002
Nissan Rogue Sport 2017-2022
Nissan issues a massive recall for 700,000 Nissan Rogue SUVs. The recall impacts both the standard and sports models of the Rogue. The ignition key can shut off while driving, creating a crash hazard. This is because of the “jackknife” design of the keys that can collapse and fold while driving. Nissan is going to notify the owners by the end of March on how they will remedy the situation. Check your vehicle on Nissan’s website here for more information.
Tesla Model Y 2022-2023
Tesla is recalling their most recent model Y because the second-row seats have loose bolts. The bolts hold the seats to the frame. If they are not properly tightened, it could reduce the performance of seat belts. This leads to an increased risk of death during a crash. The recall impacts 3,470 Tesla Model Y vehicles.
Toyota Tundra 2022-2023
Toyota Tundra Hybrid 2022-2023
Toyota is recalling their newer model trucks for a software issue with the LCD displays. The displays are failing to show key indicators like the speedometer and warning lights. They can even go completely blank. This increases the risk of an accident. 8,989 trucks are impacted by the recall.
Jeep Gladiator 2020-2023
Jeep Wrangler 2018-2023
Jeep is recalling their manual transmission vehicles because the clutch can overheat. This causes the pressure plate to fracture. This can allow debris to enter the transmission case, heat up, and expel. This causes a significant fire risk. The recall impacts 69,201 vehicles and will be remedied in April 2023.
How To Check If Your Vehicle Has Been Recalled
If you drive one of these vehicles or you simply want to check your vehicle for recalls, go to the NHTSA website to search for your vehicle. On the website, you can search by your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) for any recalls on your vehicle. If there has been a recall, you will then need to contact the manufacturer or dealership to learn how to remedy it. During a recall, the manufacturer is legally obligated to repair the issue. Those repairs are completely free to the consumer. As soon as you learn of a recall on your vehicle, you need to have the issue addressed to avoid an accident.
What To Do If A Mechanical Failure Caused An Auto Accident
When a recall is issued, the manufacturer has to notify the vehicle owner and repair the issue. If you are in an accident as a result of the failure and you were not notified, you may have a case against the manufacturer. Further, if your accident was caused by mechanical failure but there was no recall, you may still have a claim. Contact the St. Pete’s Lawyer Michael Babboni. He’ll review your case and help you understand your legal options.
